Homaundre Pender, Chairperson of the Board.

Homaundre (Monty) Pender, a life long resident of Canton, Ohio, is a graduate of Heritage Christian High School and recieved his Bachelors Degree in Oranizational Management in 1999 from Malone College; and also earned an Associates Degree in Electronics Technology from DeVry University in 1987. 

He currently serves as Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Association for a Better Community Development, Inc. ( ABCD, Inc)., and has been a member since 2001. He also serves on both Community Relations and Management Committees. He has recieved additional training in Management, Diversity, Quality Control, Safety and AutoCad (Computer Aided Design).

Homaundre has a background in engineering and management and has worked for The Timken Company and General Motors. He is currently a Order Inquiry Analyst at Republic Engineered Products, Canton Ohio.

He is also a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. were he serves as
Vice-Basileus (President) of the Kappa Tau Chapter in Canton, Ohio.

Mr. Will Dent, President and CEO

Mr Dent a graduate of McKinley High School received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology in 1967 from Wilmington College.  He has received training in Community Economic Development, Fundraising, Housing Development, Board Development, Management of Nonprofit Organizations; Development of Co-ops and Micro-Enterprises, Total Quality Management and Strategic Organizational Planning.

Serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Association for Better Community Development, Inc. (better known as ABCD, Inc.), a 32 year old, faith based Community Development Corporation based in Canton, Ohio and related to the United Methodist Church.

Serves as Training Consultant in Economic Development and Fundraising with the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church and is a member of the Training Faculty of the Communities of Shalom Initiative.
